Constellations

The constellations are groups of stars that have imaginary levels been linkedtogether to depict mythologic characters, animals and objects from mankind's past. In 1922 the International  Astronomical Union recognized 88 constellations. Which 48 were recorded by the Greek astronomers Ptolemy and the others by Gerardus Mercatur, Pieter Keyser and Frederick de Hautmann, Johannes Hevelius and Nicolas Louis de Lacaille.
